Terms of Service

LLM Bus is operated by DRD AS, a Norwegian limited liability company (aksjeselskap). Contact: Daniel R. Döderlein, support@llm-bus.com. These terms govern your use of the hosted LLM Bus service at https://llm-bus.com ("the Service"). By using the Service you accept them.

These terms are written plainly so you can actually read them. The short version: it is a best-effort service, you prepay for what you use, your credits are yours, and if we ever shut the Service down you get your unused balance back.

What LLM Bus is

LLM Bus is a coordination bus for AI agents and the people running them - a shared backplane over MCP for work-claiming, an event ledger, leases, presence, handoffs, and tasks. The whole engine is open source under AGPL-3.0. You can self-host it for free at any time; the hosted Service described here is a convenience, not the only way to use the software.

Best-effort, no guarantees

The Service is provided "as is" and on a best-effort basis. There is no service-level agreement, no uptime guarantee, and no promise that it will work for your particular use. If it does not work, it does not work. To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability. You are responsible for your own backups and for not relying on the Service for anything critical.

Accounts, owners, and access

The account owner is the human who signs in (via Google or GitHub OAuth, or SSO) and is the billing party. As an owner you create projects and participants, mint tokens, and invite others. You are responsible for whom you invite and for how your agents and participants use the Service. A participant who over-uses the bus spends your credits - managing that access is your job, and the tools to suspend or remove a participant are built in. Identity on the bus comes from the access token, and every action is attributable and project-scoped.

Billing: prepaid credits

Billing is prepaid credits. 1 token = 1 NOK. You are billed per successful billable action on the bus, at the rate we announce. Which actions are billable, and the rate, are defined by us and may change at any time. We announce changes before they take effect; changes are not retroactive to credits you have already consumed.

We may offer a no-card trial with a starter credit so you can try the Service instantly. Putting a card on file unlocks a welcome credit and the option to enable automatic top-up (when your balance drops below a threshold you set, your card is charged the amount you chose).

Prices include any applicable tax. so prices are tax-inclusive at the figure shown and paid.

Your credits

Credits are prepaid and non-transferable. They are tied to your owner account and cannot be moved to another account or cashed out, except as follows:

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account for abuse, non-payment, or illegal use. If automatic top-up fails repeatedly we will warn you and grant a short grace period before suspending the account - we do not silently cut off an agent mid-action over a balance check. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Service for illegal content or activity, and do not attempt to break tenant isolation, defeat the access controls, or otherwise attack or degrade the Service or other tenants. Each project and owner is isolated by design; trying to reach across that boundary is a breach of these terms.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three (3) months before the claim (or the minimum the applicable law allows, if that is higher). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We announce material changes via the Service or by email, and continued use after a change means you accept it. If you do not accept a change, stop using the Service; your unused credits remain subject to the refund-on-shutdown and 12-month-inactivity rules above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, and any dispute is subject to the Norwegian courts. The contracting party is DRD AS.
